Free Ringtones FYI - Free Cool Ringtones

Building on the popularity of the free Twilight Wallpapers, I’ve finally found an appropriate Twilight ringtone that’s well pretty rockin’. This ringtone from the Twilight movie soundtrack is by the band Paramore. The song is Decode, while many compare Paramore to Flyleaf but without the angst, I think Hayley Williams is a talented singer and songwriter in her own right. The band was formed in Tennessee has a few hits and has been around roughly 5 years. The rest of the band includes Josh Farro (lead guitar/backing vocals), Jeremy Davis (bass guitar), and Zac Farro (drums).

Not quite sure how Decode was added to Twilight soundtrack line up. Our guess would be that it fits the age group that the movie targets of course. What I love about Decode is the intro guitar riff. Oh how I’d loop the intro guitars and break beat the heck out of it. Still Decode serves as a great 1st totally free Twilight ringtone and we’re happy to present and take feedback. The totally free Twilight ringtone is about 21 seconds long, it is in mp3 format ripped to 128kbps. I just side-loaded it to my iPhone and it sounds great. It’s cool how the rest of the band kicks in BIG a few seconds after the guitar intro. I will be setting it as my ringtone for a bit, hope you all enjoy it as well.

Zack Snyder brings Watchmen to the big screen, of course with the help of some really cool and talented actors, Bill Crudup, Malin Akerman, and Jackie Earle Haley. Have to admit, I dozed off watching Watchmen but Rorschach (Jackie) clearly stole the show, he was awesome–totally immersed himself into the role. What impressed me was how true to the comics the Watchmen movie was, and of course the special effects were pretty impressive.

For those who don’t know, Watchmen was written as a 12 series comic book by Alan Moore distributed by DC Comics. It’s available as a graphic novel, now. Yup it is a superhero movie but it’s sort of poking fun in an intellectual sort of way at the whole Superhero genre. Watchmen movie involved Doctor Manhattan (Crudup), Rorschach (Jackie), Silk Spectre (Carla Gugino), Ozymandias and The Comedian (Jeffrey Dean Morgan who plays the dad from Supernatural). Oh and the rumors are true, Doctor Manhattan’s junk was all in your face and stinky…

I thought it appropriate to start providing Watchmen ringtones considering how cool some of the musical score was. The tracks are awesome as well, here’s a rundown of the songs included on the Watchmen soundtrack:

We chose to rip Watchmen ringtones off the actual musical scores. With that said, Rescue Mission is the first mp3 ripped track off of the Watchmen musical score by Tyler Bates. He’s done quite a few movies, 300 was another Zack Snyder directed film he provided music for. The ringtone is a less than 20 seconds and is essentially the start of the track but that’s all you need, the build up, anticipation and peak are all there.

Don’t complain folks, it is a FREE ringtone download of the Rescue Mission in mp3 format. It’s a snippet so it’s a quick download and not too tough on your phone if you’ve got limited memory. Blast from the past composer known for creating the classic television theme music from the 1960s TV Series The Munsters, Jack Marshall in many ways helped rock and roll break into the silver screen. Marshall also composed music for The Deputy, a western television series starring Henry Fonda, The Investigators and The Debbie Reynolds Show.

The Munsters to this day is an entertaining family show and the The Munsters theme music as a ringtone is a must for anyone. Even if you’re not familiar with the classic television series, the tune itself has a certain coolness to it albeit the production quality is a tad dated. You can watch episodes from The Munsters at TV Land.

Keep in mind, The Munsters Ringtone is the real thing, no knock offs here. I’ve got tell you even Herman Munster would be proud as would his hot wife Lilly Munster!

We realize that we’ve been focused on horror, sci-fi and thriller type movie ringtone themes. So it made sense to segue into movie ringtones with a positive tone to them–pun intended. We decided to rip a snippet of composer and arranger Henry Mancini’s world famous movie theme from the classic comedy movie series called, The Pink Panther. Ah, even Peter Sellers would be proud of our Pink Panther ringtone–please check it out.

Henry Mancini once said, “If it calls for a Madison or a Twist, I’ll do it. And if it calls for a tone row or anything in surreal music I’ll do that, too. But the dance band is what has given me the kind of little edge towards the jazz field.” The Pink Panther ringtone embodies this throughout…

We’re looking for mp3 music ringtones for your mobile phone or iPhone from this blockbuster movie based on Stephenie Meyer’s New York Times best selling book Twilight. The movie stars Robert Pattinson (of Harry Potter Potter fame) and Kristen Stewart, yup, she’s the tom boy from Panic Room! The Twilight movie is so popular that they’re already in talks of a sequel, New Moon.

By the way just learned from GeekSugar that Bella’s mobile phone in the Twilight movie is the Nokia 7360 in white. I’ll post instructions on how to upload and set these up as wallpapers on the Nokia 7360.

Back in 1977 an epic science fiction movie was released called Star Wars. Star Wars Episode 3 was designed for all ages and let me tell you, the sci-fi movie started a revolution. George Lucas, a then up and coming director, having finished American Graffiti three years earlier was taking Hollywood by storm. Star Wars featured several unknown actors, Harrison Ford, Mark Hamil, and Carrie Fisher. Lucas enlisted a musical great to herald the epic and usher in our Star Wars ringtone.

The man that rounded out Star Wars, though, in my mind was John Williams. His carefully composed Star Wars theme re-invented the musical score genre. It made the concept mainstream, you would hum the Star Wars main theme, of course because the movie was memorable but the main theme itself embodied the Star Wars universe.

The Star Wars ringtone is, if you haven’t guessed, of the main musical score. The mp3 ringtone is about 46 seconds long, 128kbps making it a fairly robust Star Wars ringtone.

We’re all familiar with “Sex And The City”. Some of us have only ever heard of Manolo Blahnik, the Meat Packing District, and The Four Seasons Hotel due to the show, but true fans will be able to rattle off all the nooks and crannies of New York City that this famous four have ever visited. Carrie, Charlotte, Samantha and Miranda. These four girls have made history on our tv sets with all the girlie talk that most women (and men) find unable to resist.

The long awaited movie which aired in May 2008, was a HUGE hit! Fans all over the world couldn’t wait to see what happened next in the saga between New York’s most fearless “It Girl” and her long time on-and-off beau of 10 years, the gorgeous Mr Big. The movie was wonderfully written and the characters once again beautifully portrayed by all. But the one that got us all crying was SJP and her heart-wrenching performance as Carrie, who pretty much gave her heart away and sold her soul to a guy who turned out to be none other than a BIG JERK! Bet all you girls watching hated Big and couldn’t understand why he jilted Carrie at the altar like that. But, after a lot of tears came the laughter once again as Big and Carrie finally tied the knot in their own simplistic way. The ending was perfect and just the way it should have been minus all the fuss and tears. But that’s what makes good ratings!

Well it didn’t take too long for us to get back into the whole horror movie ringtones bandwagon, did it? I don’t know what it is, I guess I’m fascinated by the horror movie genre or maybe Halloween is just around the corner. More importantly, I’m of the opinion that music themes from horror movies or slasher films make for great free ringtones, horror movie ringtones.

Our latest free ringtone is 22 seconds, the Halloween ringtone is a snippet of the original John Carpenter Halloween music score ripped at a bit rate per second of 192. This particular Halloween ringtone is hot because of its natural crescendo at the beginning. The eeriness that the Halloween theme builds up to is just too good not to load onto your mobile phone. When the Halloween ringtone goes off, it conjures up all of the gory slasher scenes that made John Carpenter’s Halloween movie a classic in its genre. Don’t forget, this is the movie that put Jamie Lee Curtis on the map, she was phenomenal.

I have to imagine that John Carpenter was inspired by The Exorcist theme for the Halloween movie which was composed by Mike Oldfield for his album Tubular Bells cuz while it’s not even close musically it certainly reminds me of it. By the way John Carpenter’s Halloween is available on Blu Ray and it looks amazing. I highly recommend picking it up, it’s cheaper than some of the newer DVDs.

Just stumbled onto a new free iPhone ringtone ripper. UPDATE: iRinger ringtone software is advertiser driven and while you see ads during use of the software it doesn’t seem to get in the way of the functionality or experience.

iPhone folks don’t rejoice just yet, I haven’t tested it out. The software is free and looks pretty easy to use as indicated by the user interface.

What’s cool about iRinger is that it creates free ringtones for your iPhone from any music (mp3, AAC, etc.) or video file you own. You can even rip ringtones from YouTube videos-hmmm, I like that option.

How it works is that iRinger exports ripped ringtones to iTunes, so you don’t have to worry about hacking your iPhone and then worrying about losing the ringtone when there’s a software update. Kind of like what I experience with iPhoneRIngtoneMaker.  The ringtones are ripped in a matter of seconds and hey it’s free!
