The force is strong in this epic continuation of the Star Wars franchise helmed by J.J. Abrams. My colleagues and I discussed the challenge of avoiding the reboot trap and developing a product that ultimately satisfies the fan in us and we all agreed that it was satisfied.
The cast in Star Wars The Force Awakens includes new comers Daisy Ridley as Rey, John Boyega as Finn, Adam Driver as Kylo Ren / Ben Solo, Oscar Isaac as Poe Dameron and BB8 who is taking on R2D2s mantle. The old band is back of course including, Harrison Ford, Carrie Fisher, Mark Hamill, Peter Mayhew (Chewbacca), Anthony Daniels (C3PO) and Anthony Baker (small cameo of R2D2).
The movie brings some iconic cinematography much like in the spirit of Star Wars IV A New Hope and many of the character builds as well as homages to key dialog from all three of the original Star Wars episodes that have captured our hearts and minds.
We of course don’t want to spoil anything in terms of the plot hell don’t even want to get into rumors of how Star Wars VII is shaping up but let’s just say The Force Awakens has broken all sorts of records and is one of the largest internationally grossing movies of all time.
And, yes, while there are plot holes and numerous reasons to find fault in this interpretation, Star Wars VI Force Awakens still manages to overcome them through gripping action scenes and an accessible yet intricate story line. Free Ringtones FYI team felt the tempo and use of special effects was just right, in fact, even the Millennial Falcon after 30 years sees clear wear and tear. And unlike the glossy ships for Episodes 1-3 even the newer machinery shows human imperfections that make the overall special effects ambiance believable.
